SECURITY PROTECTION TRAINING
Stalking is a term used to describe unwanted attention by individuals (or groups of people) to others. Stalking is related to the term harassment, which refers to behavior intended to disturb or upset.
Stalking is also linked to intimidation, which is intentional behavior which would cause a person of ordinary sensibilities a fear of injury or harm.
By definition stalking suggest behaviors by which an individual inflicts upon another repeated unwanted intrusions and communications. Intrusions include making approaches, maintaining surveillance or a visible presence and gathering information.
The Protection from Harassment Act 1997, subsequent amendments and acts provide legislation to arrest and convict people who wish to harass, intimidate and generally pursue others.
We work within this act to:
- Protect the victim from harm or further distress.
- Gather evidence required to prove the offence.
- Work with the police and courts to ensure the safety of our clients and a successful prosecution and outcome.
