We believe in protecting everything our clients value, this can be achieved through making clients aware of the enviroment that they, their family, friends, colleagues or associates are operating or living in.

Our range of training services cover Personal Safety Training, Conflict Resolution, Lone Worker Safety, Search Awareness, Breakaway Techniques, Unarmed Defensive Training.

Each course is specifically designed to meet the needs of the delegates and organisations. We work with hotel groups, women’s charities, secondary and further educational establishments, borough councils, housing associations and many more. We have a vast range of skills associated within the Police and public service sectors.

Lone Worker Training

WHAT IS A LONE WORKER?

Any person who works by themselves without close or direct supervision, occasionally or permanently.  Under the Health & Safety at work Act 1974 and the Management of health and safety at work regulations 1999, an organisation has responsibility for the health, safety and welfare at work of its employees. These responsibilities apply equally to staff that for whatever reason, work alone.   Lone Workers should be at no more risk than other employees. This may require the organisation to deploy extra risk control measures which take account of normal work and unforseeable emergencies, for example, accident, illness, violence, etc. This policy applies to all staff employed by the organisation designated as Lone Workers. The circumstances under which Lone Workers work away from their base may include :                                         Visiting clients homes
Travelling to and from visits
Areas outside the organisations control

Particular reference is made to the provision if information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure the health and safety at work of employees.

We have been involved in training Lone Workers and staff facing hostility and violence at work for over a decade, providing a range of courses designed to meet the specific needs of the organisation and delegates. Our clients all have one thing in common, they are all dealing with the public, in house or in the community, as young students or as adults and many have experienced situations where safety and security were an issue.

At the end of a Lone Worker training session, delegates will be able to
* Recognise minimal perceptions of danger
* Identify hostile NVC;s ( non verbal communications ) Warnings & Danger Signs, Triggers &
   Inhibiters
* Recognise the need for Dynamic Risk Assessment
* Define the S.A.F.E.R approach
* Outline the use of Tactical Communications to defuse conflict
* Understand tactics and strategies in relation to Lone Worker protection
* Understand the law relating to self defence, use of force and search powers
* Demonstrate a range of breakaway techniques

A session would typically run between 9am and 4.30pm with coffee and lunch breaks. 4 sessions of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes each will allow delegates to absorb information effectively in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
